This page provides an introduction to the Institute's TKM® Instructors. These Instructors are certified to teach specific levels of TKM® and are the approved and qualified training sources internationally. Note: If any person other than these certified Instructors are claiming to teach TKM®, they are not qualified or certified to do so and should be reported to the King Institute, Inc.
The Founder and Director:
Glenn Thomas King, Ph.D., CDN, CN, in Environmental Health Science (PWU), is the Founder and Director of the King Institute, Inc. in Carrollton, Texas. King is a certified and licensed Dietetics-Nutritionist from the University of the State of New York, a Clinical Nutritionist and member of the International and American Associates of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN). King has fulfilled qualifying requirements for professional Microscopy Analysis (live and dry cell microscopy). King is a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) in Evergreen, Colorado, and is an alumnus of Ministers for Christ Outreach.
He has studied for over thirty years in diverse health restoration methods and disciplines including Nutrition/Diet, Herbology, Acupuncture/Acupressure, Shiatsu, Reflexology, JSJ®, B.E.S.T. Method, Color, Taste, Sound, and Aroma Therapy among others. His involvement in the complimentary and integrative health field has also included diet, nutrition, exercise and other aspects related to the biochemical reactions within man to understand more about true “Cause and Effect.”
King’s focus for over twenty years has been a rare science which specializes in the physics of the bioelectromagnetic energy of the body he has termed The King Institute Method® or TKM®. He has authored six books on the subject: TKM® (Textbook), TKM® Self-Help Book, The KI Method® Procedures, The TKM® Advanced Book, TKM® Health Missions Book and TKM® E.M.T. Book (Emergency integrative Medicine Techniques). He publishes a quarterly Journal (KIMA Journal) and a bi-monthly newsletter (Health News Update). He is currently writing a book on TKM® for the public.
He has contributed articles on TKM® to the Alternative Medicine Digest as well as to The Alternative Medicine Guide to Heart Disease by the Burton Goldberg Group, and The Definitive Guide to Alternative Medicine (promoted on CNN Headline News), which is an elective study in several Medical Universities. Dr. King lectures and teaches TKM® in Dallas and elsewhere in the United States and abroad. Dr. King has developed video/DVD, CD and audiocassette media for both the layperson and physicians stressing the importance of integrating this extraordinary method to help restore health and coherence to bodily functions.
King founded the King Institute, Inc. in 1990. The Institute is a nonprofit [501 (c)(3)] Christian natural health organization involved in health research, therapy and education. The Institute's overall mission is to provide knowledge and help for all people suffering with health issues whether physical, emotional or mental. Through a comprehensive approach, almost any injury or illness can be addressed effectively without the use of surgery or pharmaceuticals. The Institute has physicians and other health specialists available for consultation or referrals when necessary. The Institute also provides training and health counseling in areas such as diet, nutrition, exercise as well as other therapeutic treatments for the general public and medical professionals alike.
Glenn King and his wife Hillary (Xuan Huong) reside in Frisco, TX and have two children, David and Christine. The family attends Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas.

Dr. Jim Robertson - TKM® Associate Instructor
Dr. James O. (Jim) Robertson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ohio University, a Master of Science Degree from Illinois State University and Doctorate of Naturopathic Ministry from Trinity College of Natural Health. 
Dr. Robertson is a Master Herbalist and member of the American Herbalist Guild. He is a Certified Nutritional Consultant and a Diplomat member of the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. He is also recognized as a nationally Certified Natural Health Professional by the Certified Natural Health Professional Association. He is also certified by the King Institute as an instructor of TKM® Emergency Integrative Medicine Techniques, TKM® Self-help and Level 1 & 2 classes. He is a member of TKM® Association (KIMA®).
Dr. Robertson is an experienced martial artist, holding a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has extensive training in Tai Chi Chuan. He is the founder of the T’sung Sen Tai Chi Program.
Jim has 35 years of experience in the field of education both as a teacher and as an administrator at the secondary and collegiate levels. He entered the natural health field, beginning with his study of the martial arts and exercise science, while seeking a way to overcome chronic back pain. After succeeding at learning natural methods to eliminate 14 years of chronic back pain, he turned his interest to Oriental approaches to health by studying medical qigong. When confronted with a diagnosis of prostate cancer, God called him away from conventional forms of treatment and lead him down the path of alternative health practices. He was successfully healed of the prostate cancer.
Dr. Robertson realized that there was a need to share with others the knowledge he gained while overcoming his own health challenges. So, he and his wife Melanie (a certified yoga instructor) formed Natural Health Consulting, LLC in August 2002. Natural Health Consulting is an educational ministry dedicated to the belief that our bodies were created with the ability to heal naturally if provided the right ingredients. Natural Health Consulting, LLC’s mission is to help others “build health through knowledge” by teaching them to understand the workings of their body, helping them to determine their body’s needs and guiding them to provide those needs as God had intended. Dr. Robertson's practice became the first branch of King Institute, Inc. in 2008.
Together, Jim and Melanie lead a Bible Study class for 25 young couples at the First Baptist Church of Sebring, where Jim formerly served on staff as Director of Education. They are both accomplished folk musicians and enjoy performing. They have four children and three grandchildren.

Linda Kane - TKM® Instructor
Linda Kane, ND (Neurodevelopmentalist)
Linda Kane’s experience in the field of special needs began over twenty-eight years ago with the birth of her oldest son Scott, who was diagnosed with Down syndrome (DS) and is now with our heavenly Father (since 2006)
.
Scott was born at a time when the standard recommendation was to institutionalize children born with DS. Refusing to even consider such a thing, Linda and her husband, Lee, ventured out on their own looking for answers that would help their son. Sadly, most of their early education was finding what did not work. They were fast becoming veterans of numerous unsuccessful programs and therapies.
Through this search for answers, Linda found the Neurodevelopmental Approach in 1989. Realizing the life changing effects of this approach, Linda entered into an eight year apprenticeship in the Neurodevelopmental field. She expanded into specialized fields by training in Auditory Integration Training, Auditory Enhancement Training, Samonas Sound Therapy, Feeding Therapy, and Oral Motor Therapy. She is also a member of KIMA®.
Desiring to have a strong Biblical foundation and Christian basis when working with families, Lee and Linda founded “Hope And A Future, Inc.” in September 1999. Hope And A Future’s primary mission is to give hope and specific help to families involved with developmental needs, genetic syndromes, brain injuries, Autism, and learning issues. Linda firmly believes the potential of an individual is determined by the opportunities presented to them. Hope And A Future guides families in offering the best opportunities to their children. Linda is certified through the International Christian Association of Neurodevelopmentalists, Inc. (ICAN). Currently, in affiliation with ICAN, the opportunity for continued research, study, and the exploration of options and methodologies to enhance the field of neurodevelopment is an ongoing critical part of her work.
In early 2000 an associate of ICAN introduced Linda to TKM®. Seeing immediate, dramatic results with just a few simple applications, Linda immediately began studying and training in TKM®. She knew this was a vital piece that would help the families with which she worked. Desiring more opportunity to share TKM® with others, Linda became certified by the King Institute to teach TKM® Self Help and EMT classes in March 2001. She has continued her qualifying requirements to become one of the team of TKM® Instructors internationally.
Applying TKM® in her work has had an incredible impact in the lives of the children and their families. There have been significant, dramatic improvements seen from the use of TKM®. Utilizing TKM® with her own family has truly had life changing results as well. The Lord has used The KI Method to bring better health and restoration to Linda herself. Linda says, “TKM® is remarkable and truly a gift!”
Linda travels extensively around the USA seeing families, lecturing and teaching. She’s worked with thousands of individuals during the past sixteen years. Lee and Linda live in Ogden, Utah. They’ve been blessed with three sons, two daughters (in-law), three grandsons, and two granddaughters living near them. They love the Lord dearly and give Him all praise and glory for the work He has called them to do. And we welcome them wholeheartedly into the close family of TKM® instructors.

Jana Carswell Smith, RN, CNOR, CRNFA - TKM® Instructor
Jana Smith, RN, CNOR, CRNFA is a certified Instructor of TKM® Emergency Integrative Medicine Techniques. She is a member of the King Institute Method Association® (KIMA®).
Jana holds a Registered Nurse degree from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (1991), CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) since 1994, CRNFA (Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant) since 1996, JMT Practitioner (Bio-Energy Practitioner) since 2003 and a degree in mortuary science from the Commonwealth College of Science, Houston, Texas (1973).
Jana earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Houston Community College (1990) and is a member of the National Honor Fraternity (Phi Theta Kappa, Omega Sigma Chapter), the President’s List, Dean’s List. She has a Scholastic Achievement Award at Commonwealth College of Science and is a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses, Integrative Health Practices Specialty Assembly and Association of Operating Room Nurses, RNFA Specialty Assembly. Appointments include the Advisory Committee for HCCS ADN Program, and the only nurse to serve on the Operating Room Committee at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, Texas (1999-2002).
Jana has over 17 years of experience in the medical field and has recently dedicated her life to the Integrative health field of non-toxic medicine. Jana worked as a CRNFA with Dr. Henry Glass, MD., Chief of Surgery at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, Texas for 12 years until his retirement in 2004.
Her first TKM® class changed her life and resulted in a full time TKM® practice and E.M.T. Instructorship for the King Institute.
